EFG (ESL FaceIt Group) approached Ambient with a bold challenge: to create a cinematic trailer for the opening ceremony of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with just two weeks for full production.
The concept focused on a players quest to obtain the coveted player’s key, symbolizing the right to compete in the tournament. Within five days, Ambient completed pre-production, including story development, scripting, talent acquisition, location scouting, and permits, then traveled to Riyadh for the shoot. Filming spanned the deserts, lush oases, and Boulevard City, with post-production completed in just two days. The final trailer, delivered to the live broadcast team on the event day, was aired in three segments, culminating in a voiceover-led finale that seamlessly introduced the opening ceremony.
